Before you save your vehicle. There is one optional task that we recommend you carry out. WordPress allows you to categorise your content. This is a useful feature for things like your vehicles.
If you sell cars, vans, MPV’s and other vehicle types. Categorisation makes it possible to filter your vehicles, so that your users can look at any particular category of vehicle.
To Categorise And Save Your Vehicle
Scroll up to the top right of your screen and locate the “Vehicle Types” section. Here you can either select an existing vehicle type or add a new one.
Vehicle types can be accessed and edited from the dashboard by hovering your mouse over “Vehicles” and clicking “Vehicle Types”.
The “Publish” section is located just above the “Vehicle Types” section, at the top right of the page. Here you have three option buttons.
- Preview: This will open the new vehicle page for viewing. Very handy because it’s always a good idea to check your work before unveiling it to the general public.
- Save Draft: There may be times when you want to save a vehicle for publishing later. In this case, you have the option to save your work as a draft.
- Publish: When your shining new page is ready for the world to see. Just hit the publish button and you are done. The car will be added to the inventory, latest vehicles and be available for search. It’s worth noting that you can also set a vehicle to auto publish at a specified date and time.
